Becoming Head Boy has been a dream of mine because I always played an active role in improving our school community since I joined two years ago. I am passionate about representing the student body, voicing students’ concerns, and implementing positive changes to make their life in school as enjoyable as possible without facing any problems. Mine and Emma’s vision for the next year includes re-introducing the Peer Support Programme, as well as introducing the new four committees within our academies, where everyone’s voices and ideas can be heard. We want to ensure that every student feels valued. For the past two years, I have been elected as a House Captain for Wilson House in Year 10, as well as achieving many awards last year. I have also been a Bold Voices Ambassador, which significantly increased awareness of the daily challenges of gender inequality in the modern world. One of the main challenges we might face is ensuring that our initiatives are taken by the Senior Leadership Team to achieve more positive and productive results. Balancing upcoming GCSEs with the demands of the Head Boy role can be difficult. However, I’m not afraid of any challenges and I am committed to working with the Senior Leadership Team, committees, teachers, and students to make Glenmoor & Winton Academies an even better place to learn!
