Emma Lock

I chose to apply for the position of Head Girl because I am proud of our school and its ethos. Glenmoor & Winton has helped shape my positive outlook on the world, and as your Head Girl, I want to pay it forward. I aspire to inspire and support my current and future peers to love to learn and maximise their potential in a learning environment that values our opinions and views.

I am passionate about empowering Student Voice and will make this my priority, alongside the continuation of the Student Peer Support Programme. Working together with the Student Leadership Team, we have already put forward lots of your great ideas and suggestions to our school leaders for their consideration. Andy and I look forward to hearing more of your insightful contributions throughout the academic year and will ensure, through the new committee structure, your voices are heard.

This is my final year at Glenmoor & Winton and I, like all year 11 students, will need to ensure I manage my time well, planning and prioritising my position and responsibilities as Head Girl and ensuring our vision to enhance and create a wonderful environment for students and the wider school community balances well alongside my own personal learning and study of my GCSEs. I know this will be a challenge, but one I feel confident to embrace.
